I review mostly YA and Urban Fantasy. I love reading and talking about books. Still waiting for the day my love of books will manifest itself in a superpower. Comment on my reviews or mail me!

Sunday Stuff
This week went by so fast! Vacation really messes up your sense of time.
Today I celebrated my birthday with my family and some of my friends. It was a lot of fun although I shouldn't have eaten do much cake... especially considering we played our football match of Death afterwards :P
I went to see the Dark Knight Rises on Friday and it was glorious. So awesome and sad at the same time.
As for reading I finished the Gargoyle, Pandemonium and Looking for Alibrandi. I'm halfway done with Shadow of Night.
We're currently attempting to move back to our own house and that's why I haven't read as much as I would have liked.
Review of the Gargoyle is posted and the reviews of Pandemonium and Looking for Alibrandi are coming.
I hope you had a great weekend!
PS. My laptopscreen died Friday and I don't have enough money to buy a new screen at the moment. This means that I'll have to write my posts on my tablet which goes a lot slower... sorry for the inconvenience :(

Monday Moaning
Oh Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh :D
The weather sucks and the rain keeps pouring down like the second Flood is coming. So tonight I'm going to sit in a nicely heated and dry theater and watch 21 Jump Street. The trailer looks funny and the reviews are good, so I expect some good laughs :)
As for my reading this week, I'm still busy in Shadow of Nights which I think is awesome so far.
When I finish that one I'm going to continue in Game of Thrones -also awesome-.
And also I can't wait to finally start The Knife of Never Letting Go. A dystopian where everybody can hear everybody's thoughts. The premise alone sounds really creepy and I've heard great things. It's supposed to be a nail-biting series which every dystopian fan should read.
What are you reading this week? Tell me in the comments!

Sunday Stuff
Next up was Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta on Tuesday. It was the only book she has written that I hadn't read yet. Just like the rest of her work it was awesome. You do notice that this was her first novel at some places but the narrator, Josephine Alibrandi, was one of the most relatable characters I've read in a while :)
On Friday, late in the night, I finished the Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. The story was very unique and I was constantly wondering where the story would go. You were kept on the edge of your seat until the ending. Review is currently being written.
I started Shadow of the Night by Deborah Harkness yesterday and I'm liking it a lot. Hoping to finish it tomorrow.

Aaaaaaaaand I'm back!
I have a lot of reading to catch up to and I can't wait to dig in the mountain of books that have been waiting for me. Quitting reading for an entire month sucked and next time when I take a break I will at least have some pre-written posts lined up.
For this vacation I'm making an epic list of awesome books to read. Some have been waiting on my shelf for over a year :O First part will posted today. Also new edition of Stacking the Shelves is coming tomorrow ;)

Monday Moaning
That's pretty rare over here and a lot of people were sitting outside in the sun during break time.
So much studying!!!
As for my reading I'm halfway done with Pandemonium and I will finish it tomorrow (I really really hope so).
I have this really thick book (900 page) I need to read for Dutch Literature class so that interferes with my normal reading. It's not bad but it takes a lot of time to get through.

Sunday Stuff
Made cupcakes with my family on thursday, They were delicious ^^
This week was a little slow on reviews and I haven't read much unfortunately.
I do expect to finish Pandemonium tomorrow so that review will be coming soon.
I did some short reviews on the books I read in the vacation. I liked them all a lot, so check them out!
Links I've loved:
Article on Cuddlebuggery. It's astounding how little parents are involved in the lives of their children in YA books, especially because your parents have a huge influence on your life.
New episode of Game of Thrones tomorrow *starts fangirling*!

Monday Moaning
I'm so tired and I feel like crap. Just 2 more days until I have a long weekend again. The last few months of school are stacked with tests because teachers can't plan, so I have weeks of studying ahead -.-
So my reading is a little slow lately :(
Still reading Game of Thrones and Persuasion.
Started Pandemonium and got up ahead with the Gargoyle. I really like it so far, I haven't read anything like it before :)
I hope I can get some more reading done when the weekend starts.
Now I'm off watching the new Game of Thrones episode ^^

So I had a birthday yesterday, I ate too much cake :) I should really start running again but I keep putting it off. Tomorrow my vacation is over and I have to go to school again -.-
Luckily I've got some great books to read and to review.
This week I reviewed Overprotected by Jennifer Laurens which I didn't like and I'm still working on my review of Gone Gone Gone by Hannah Moskowitz...
Links I've loved:
- Youtube video on Procratination . This describes it perfectly :)
- Birth of a Book. I think I just teared up a little bit ;P
- The new Dark Knight Rises trailer came out. I'm ridiculously excited for this movie. Christopher Nolan is a genius!
- Article about the sexual submission in a.o. The Fifty Shades of Grey book and how apperently some people think that the succes Fifty Shades is the ulitmate proof that women secretly want to be dominated all the time... Now I'm not a fan of the book but that's just stupid.
Favorite quotes of the week:

“Not to get all philosophical, but what is reality anyway, when no two people can ever see the same thing in exactly the same way? Reality is a lot more subjective than people like to think it is.”

Stacking the Shelves #1 part 1
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted over at Tynga's Reviews.
I want to do this meme every 2 weeks on Friday to show the new books I've bought.
Later I'd like to do this in a vlog but I'm still experienting with that, I do want you guys to actually understand what I'm saying. :P
First one up is Treachery in Death by J.D. Robb a.k.a. Nora Roberts. The In Death series contains now over 34 books and I'm still not tired of the amazingness of the kick-ass couple that is tough cop Eve Dallas and billionaire genius Roarke. The secondary characters are also great and Robb has really made this futuristic world come alive for me. I do recommend to start with the first one in the series, Naked in Death, where Eve meets Roarke for the first time when he's suspect in a gruesome murder.
Good Omens, the baby made during a collaboration between Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett in the 1990's. Bought this on the airport. I already own the Dutch version but wanted it in English too. It's a very funny book but hard to get through in Dutch. Re-read this in one day and the English version reads so much better. The dry and absurd humor never fails to make me laugh out loud. I haven't read any of them separate but both American Gods and A touch of Magic are waiting on my bookshelves already. It may not be for everyone but if you like Douglas Adams for example, you should give it a try!
I found Pandemonium in the English Section of the bookshop in my town. Finding a YA book there is a miracle in itself and the fact that it didn't feature vampires made me buy it immediately just to send a sign to the bookstore -and God- that they should be buying these books. While I haven't read the first one (which I bought earlier this year) the reviews have been great and else I'm sure I can trade them with someone who will appreciate them. Also Lauren Oliver seems like a cool person :)
Gone Gone Gone by Hannah Moskowitz. This arrived in the mail today and I couldn't be happier. I was fan-girling over this book earlier and I've already started reading it. I don't think I will sleep tonight but who cares!

Introduction: Why I Review
But the internet and Goodreads made all the difference. After discovering many fantastic books and watching the awesome YA community from a distance, I wanted to be part of it. School is boring me to death and starting this blog is a good challenge for me. My English isn’t great but I hope to improve that too. My goal is to write honest reviews that give a good inside in my likes and dislikes of the book. And that that will be useful when you're trying to decide what your next great read will be.
Reading is one of the best things in the world. Because I’m known by most people as a bookworm, non-readers often ask me what’s so great about books. And that question is hard to answer because it’s so personal. Reading is a part of me. And without it… I don’t know what I’d be. It's like trying to describe why chocolate tastes so good or the bond you have with your best friends, going to Rome, the most beautiful city in the world, indescribable. <3 So welcome to my blog, and happy reading!

Monday "not so" Moaning from Vienna
Each Monday I want to give an overview of what I reviewed in the past week and what I'll be reading in the upcoming one. I usually read a lot of books at the same time. Clicking on the title will bring you to the book page in Goodreads where you can read more about it. The pictures match the covers I own.
Reviews
On saturday I posted my first review on the blog. The book is one of my all time favorites called Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta and you can check it out here.Currently reading:
-Room by Emma Donoghue. I started this on the plane and I was absorbed. I hope to finish it today.
-Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. First book in the epic fantasy series named "A song in Fire & Ice", I'm addicted to the tv series on HBO and the book is also great but very long. I will finish it this week though.
-Tomorrow I'm starting The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. I was ecstatic when I found this in a second hand shop and I can't wait to start. It doesn't seem like your ordinary YA book.
-Continue Persuasion. My second Austen book after Pride and Prejudice which I think is great. So far the story has been set-up mostly and I can't wait for Anne Elliot (the protagonist) to talk to Wentworth (her love interest from 10 years ago which she dumped under pressure of her family because he was poor, now he is rich and a naval hero). Jane Austen has such a lovely way with words and she's very funny.
-Bought Treachery in Death by J.D. Robb at the airport and I'm reading that too.
-Later this week I'll start Delirium by Lauren Oliver, already bought the second one in the series.
Note: not my own photo from Vienna. Found it on Google images but can't find the photographer.

Sunday Stuff
First I want to mention how hard it is and I really respect all those bloggers out there who keep creating wonderful content. But it's actually an aspect I really like because because when something finally works I stand up and do a little yes-I-did-it dance and that's very rewarding. I've found many more exciting blogs which gave me a slight inferiority complex.
The Blogger 101 tips from parajunkee.com came in very handy. For all the upstarting bloggers out there, take a look.
But all in all I think it's been a good week. My vacation has started and I'm going to Vienna in a couple of hours. Never been there and can't wait to find the bookstores over there ;)
Saw the Avengers movie on Friday and it was awesome. Pefectly cast and very funny, Josh Whedon doesn't disappoint. I also found out today that Josh Whedon is currently filming Much Ado About Nothing which is my favorite Shakespeare play with another favourite, Nathan Fillion. Can't wait!
Also I have a crush on Hawkeye aka Jeremy Renner ;)
